Always use suitable PPE when working with Black Dip to protect against accidental ingestion, eye or skin contact.
Drains Gullies etc:- Pour the milky solution directly down outdoor drains, grease traps, or over refuse areas. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to neutralize deep-seated bacteria and masking odours before flushing lightly with clean water if necessary.
Brick Patios, Concrete Floors, and Driveways (Medium Duty)
Application: Pour the mixture evenly over the bricks or concrete. Let it sit for 30 minutes to penetrate algae, moss, and deep dirt. Scrub the area vigorously with a stiff yard brush, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Staining Warning: Because this product contains dark tar acids, do not let the solution completely dry on light-coloured brick, paving, or aggregate, as it could cause permanent discolouration.
Animal Housing, Stables, and Kennels (Sanitation)
Application: Remove all animals, food bowls, and bedding first. Mop or spray the floors and lower walls, leaving it to react for 15 to 30 minutes.
Crucial step: Hose the entire area down thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry completely so the potent tar vapours dissipate before letting animals back in.
Dilution Guide -Once diluted the product turns to a lighter milky colour.
1. Drains, Gullies, and Waste Areas (Heavy Duty / Odour Control) Ratio:1:5 to 1:10 (1 part concentrate to 5 or 10 parts water).. Measurement: Mix 500ml to 1 Litre of concentrate into a 5-Litre bucket of water.
2. Brick Patios, Concrete Floors, and Driveways (Medium Duty) Ratio:1:20 (1 part concentrate to 19 or 20 parts water). Measurement: Mix 250ml of concentrate into a 5-Litre bucket of water (roughly 4 tablespoons per 5L for lighter maintenance).
If cleaning delicate or light stone, drop the ratio down to 1:40 (125ml per 5L) to be safe.
3. Animal Housing, Stables, and Kennels (Sanitation) Ratio:1:20.Measurement: Mix 250ml of concentrate into a 5-Litre bucket of water.

Eye Contact (Severe Hazard)
- Immediate Action: Do not allow the victim to rub their eyes. Immediately flush the eyes with gently flowing, clean water for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
- Technique: Hold the eyelids open and away from the eyeball to ensure the entire surface and the space under the eyelids are completely rinsed. If the victim wears contact lenses, remove them only if it can be done easily while rinsing.
- Next Steps: Transport the victim to an eye specialist or emergency room immediately, continuing to rinse during transport if possible.
Inhalation
- Immediate Action: Immediately move the exposed person to fresh air.
- Technique: If the victim is not breathing, ensure your own safety first, then perform artificial respiration (avoid mouth-to-mouth if the chemical is on the face). If breathing is difficult, a trained professional should administer oxygen.
- Next Steps: Keep the patient warm and at rest. Seek immediate medical attention, as tar acid vapours can cause delayed lung inflammation (pulmonary oedema)
Skin Contact (Severe Corrosive Hazard)
- Immediate Action: Immediately flush the contaminated skin with large amounts of running water for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
- Technique: While rinsing, carefully remove all contaminated clothing, shoes, and leather goods.
- Next Steps: Wash the affected skin gently with water and mild soap if available, but do not scrub. Tar and cresylic acids can be rapidly absorbed through the skin, causing internal toxicity. Seek urgent medical care for all chemical burns. Wash contaminated clothing thoroughly before reuse.
Ingestion (Life-Threatening)
- Immediate Action: DO NOT induce vomiting. Inducing vomiting will cause the corrosive acids and caustic soda to burn the throat and oesophagus a second time.
- Technique: If the victim is fully conscious and alert, rinse their mouth thoroughly with water and have them drink 1 to 2 glasses of water to dilute the chemical. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person.
- Next Steps: Secure the airway immediately and transport the patient to the nearest hospital emergency room without delay
Note to Medical Personnel. This product is a highly alkaline, phenolic-based fluid containing sodium hydroxide, tar acids, and cresylic acids. It causes severe liquefaction necrosis of tissue. Skin absorption of phenols can rapidly result in systemic toxicity, including metabolic acidosis, cardiovascular collapse, and renal failure. Treat supportively for severe chemical burns and monitor systemic organ function
